I am afraid of crossing lines, I am afraid of flying blind

As narcissistic as it sounds, sometimes I feel like Brandi Carlile is singing specifically to me. It's as if she's reached right inside my head and yanked out everything I'm thinking and feeling and is belting it back at me with her incredible, emotive voice. In this age of auto-tuned pop groups and inane lyrics, she's a strong, visceral artist. I feel like we're lucky just to be allowed to listen to her music.

This is the opening track from her most recent album, Give up the Ghost. It means a lot to me right now.

I would put on classical or instrumental music while writing papers, but that's it. Definitely not when I'm reading, though.

BC is great driving music. :) I'm now listening to Blu Cantrell and the Can't Hardly Wait soundtrack in my cars.

I like the quiet. :)

I have a SPARKLY BALLOONS!!11!! playlist and have been listening to it this week, particularly:

Hymn #101 / Falling Is Like This / Swan Song / Mercy Of The Fallen / Youth of Today. ♥

I use the classical music as a sort of white noise to help me drown out noise from traffic/my neighbors. Oddly, Viggo's Please Tomorrow album works well for this purpose.

WHEEEE, SPARKLY BALLOONS!!11!! playlist! I love love LOVE the name! Can you screencap the whole thing for me? ♥ Your playlists are always the best.

I have misplaced my Viggo CDs and am pissed about this.

It's guaranteed to be a winner! I will, but am still in the process of fixing my iTunes. Remind me by replying to this comment and hopefully the next time it comes round again I will be able to oblige! (what am I like, sorry)
