First of all, a happy birthday to the very talented
jasminskie. You're one of my all time favorite writers in any fandom, and now I always think about you when I go to Depoe Bay. :) Hope you have a wonderful day!
Secondly, so. Nickel Creek is playing two Oregon shows. One at the Roseland in Portland (for which I've already purchased my ticket) and one in Eugene the next night. This second show takes place the night before I fly to England. It's conceivable that I could go to said show and probably be home by 11pm. My flight doesn't leave from Portland until 11:05am, which means I don't really have to be there until 9. What would be great is if I could get someone to drive me up and see me off (hint, hint) and help assuage my flying fears by telling me pretty stories. Also, that would mean that I wouldn't have to leave my car up there for a week.
My flight home arrives in Portland Wednesday the 16th at 7:30pm, for anyone who might consider taking pity on my sorry ass and not make me drive two hours back home after I've just finished 11+ hours on a plane. /groveling
Anyway. Now I'm weighing options. I'll probably be completely wiped from work, but this may be the LAST TIME we see Nickel Creek in Oregon, and currently I do have the money. So. Despite the timing and the constant travel, do I go?

Was I the only one who knew about the Eugene show? I almost called the radio station three times this week while they were giving tickets away. I think they're going to give more away tomorrow and I might actually call in, 'cause hey, free Nickel Creek.

Yeah, I know. Scheduling is rough. I thought I might give Shauna a call. My folks are willing to pick me up on the 16th, but at the moment I'm more concerned about the 9th. Besides, when do you ever go to class anyway? j/k

As far as plane (eeeek!) goes, this would be kind of lame, but I believe there's a bus that goes up to the airport. My brother's taken it a few times. If you could get someone to take you one way, maybe you could take the bus the other way. Though, that would kind of suck...just as last resort because it would be slightly better than driving and paying over your soul for parking. Wish I could help!
Also, so I can't watch SPN tonight. :( *tears* I know you'll tivo and maybe I can bring you some video tapes during spring break that you could copy for me and then I can spend a few hours catching up! Or we could both watch at your house!

My folks and I discussed the shuttle. I'll probably take it if no one wants to drive me. I'm just such a nervous flyer it'd be nice to have someone to talk to before trusting my life to a gigantic piece of flying metal.
Again, NUUUUU!!! I'm so sorry you weren't able to watch tonight. :( We will have a viewing party during spring break to be sure.

The weather here has been ridiculously gorgeous the last couple of days. If it stretches out into this next week, I'm gonna try and get over to the coast probably next Wednesday.
