I kind of on this one-woman mission to convert everyone to Todd Snider. I've seen him a few times now, and he's one of my very favorite live performers. He's a local (sorta) artist, who moved from Astoria, OR to Nashville, TN. His music is best described as an alt-country-blues-folk hybrid, and his lyrics are honest while also being, at times, tongue-in-cheek.
Todd's new EP, "Peace Queer," is available for free download HERE. Seriously, just go download it. It's FREE.
My current favorite is this haunting cover of John Fogerty's "Fortunate Son." I'm a big fan of the original, and I love the arrangement and the eeriness of Todd's version.
