There's a lot I want to say about tonight's song pick, but I can't seem to get the words out. This will have to do.
The song tonight is from my favorite album (so far) of 2008. I've loved M.Ward for a long time now, and when I heard that he was teaming up with Zooey Deschanel I nearly flipped out. I have the biggest crush on Zooey; I think she's incredibly talented and incredibly beautiful. Together, she and M.Ward are the band She and Him whose debut album Volume I was the soundtrack to my summer. Zooey's voice is strong and joyful, and I can't help but smile even during the more melancholy songs. This song in particular struck me, as I am currently in this never-ending transitional phase.
