I feel like I don't even need to say this, but please, no reposting of anything that appears on this journal to facebook or twitter. Honestly, LJ, what were you thinking? It's like those folks who live by their Apple products; I in no way want everything connected. Never have, never will. Blah.

I am also annoyed that they've removed "/" from the tag function. LAME. Now I can't use my victory tag anymore. \o/ Sad.

So if I haven't activated it, they can't do it, right? I am so confused.

I'm...not sure? IIRC, if you don't have them connected, stuff you post won't be crossposted, but people who comment on your journal who have their link set up...those comments could be crossposted? I think that's how it works. *sigh* I always figure better safe than sorry.

I've heard that tag thing is an error and could be fixed.
But the absurd that is FB/Tw connection? That is so fucked up and I don't understand how they actually thought that this was a good idea.IDIOTS.LJ better fix this crap soon.

Oh, good! I hope that does get reversed. *fingers crossed*

I agree! If we wanted to put our content on facebook/twitter...we'd put it on facebook/twitter. I'd say we're all lazy enough as it is, we don't need LJ trying to make us even more so! It just seems like one more thing to have to worry about. :(

I've seen a lot of peeps saying this and it makes me wonder, if someone did link to our posts that are flist-locked, would anything even show on Twitter or Facebook?

And the loss of the "/" is lame! \o/? NO! /o\ ahhhh

I'm...not sure, to be honest. I think the link might appear, but if folks tried to follow it they would be denied unless they were on your flist. That's my best guess.

According to [livejournal.com profile] ellel the "/" tag thing might be an error and may be fixed in the future. Here's hoping!

Delete your facebook account...do it...you know you want to..... ;P

I'm so anti connecting everything; it'd be way too easy for the wrong thing to end up before the wrong eyes.
