Last night I talked about West Side Story and I'm going to elaborate more this evening. I think I was seven years old the first time I saw the film, but I honestly don't remember much beyond the music and the colors. It wasn't until the high schools performed it when I was ten that I really understood the story or the characters. To this day that is the only live production of the play I've seen, and I would like it to remain so.

I've seen the film countless times since then and the music never fails to blow me away. Leonard Bernstein & Stephen Sondheim: does it get any better than that? Add in choreographer Jerome Robbins and you've got the perfect musical.

I chose the prologue because the opening scenes for the film comprise one of my favorite cinematic sequences of all time. This is my childhood and my adolescence; everything you need to know about me you can discover in this music. So much love. ♥

You can't see him, but high school Jensen is judging you (if I remember correctly, he played Tony as a senior in TX. Much better casting than Richard Beymer, who played that role in the film). ;P I may watch it again tonight in solidarity. I HOPE YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED, OMG. *bites nails*

Even with the judging, when I say I'm on the case, it'll take at least a month or more. ;) Look at Into the Wild! But I will get there. Jeez, look at how long I've had The Big Lebowski! I do not have enough time! But I'm glad I'm getting on top of certain things I'd let slide.

There is never enough time. I think I need to cancel my netflix because I've had Transporter 3, Ondine and...uh, something else...for about a month now and I haven't watched them. Too much to do/read/write/watch on TV.

Girl done good ;D EVERYTHING IS AN AU AND I LOVE IT!

I hear that. I pay £3.99 for two a month and I can only have one at a time, so if I keep a movie too long, I lose one of my two, if that makes sense. I had ItW for over a month. But it was worth £3.99. And in its place, I got Alpha Dog, just for you!! Also I have five pages of stuff saved on my tivo, eepers.

I love my new routine! I feel like I'm doing better... I love it here, I do. ♥

I pay something like $19.99 a month and for that I get three at a time and can get as many as I want over the course of the said month. *shrug* It works sometimes, especially when I get hooked into a new TV show on DVD, but others (like now) I just feel like I'm wasting money. WHEEE, ALPHA DOG! I like that movie a little too much. Our tivo is now dividing things into folders, which is awesome. So I have my SPN folder which doesn't get touched, my Weeds folder and my Sons of Anarchy folder and then my folks have Everything Else. It's a good system.

I am struggling at the moment to even watch one a month and have messed up the last two months. I feel like I'm wasting money but I don't want to lose the subscription because I'm saving money on buying new DVDs. From January, I will make sure that I watch them more frequently. *sigh* I blame the NFL. ;)

Still haven't watched Alpha Dog, thus proving my point. ;) I'm annoyed because I'll get Iron Man 2 next and I want to see some RDJ, damnit.

Netflix has just told us that they're raising the rates in January because some people want to have streaming netflix to their computers. I don't want this feature but apparently I have to pay for it anyway (LAME). So the folks & I are going to consolidate our accounts, which'll save us money.

Here's another one to add to your list if you haven't already seen it: Zodiac. The movie that made me slash RDJ & Jake Gyllahoolehay. ;)

I preferred Iron Man 2 to IM1. We watched the first Pirates movie last night, which is neither here nor there. We were inspired by this hilarious animation (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtvIYRrgZ04) based on a World of Warcraft online rant. It makes me laugh way too much. TO THE LEFT, MANY WHELPS.

Apparently there's crossdressing in the new SH film. Like, Holmes in drag. Idk how I feel about this. But it also sounds like the Holmes/Watson is right on track so YAY.
