Last night my father called us from San Diego where he relocates for one week every month for business. This may be the worst possible week for him to be down there. Yesterday his hotel was being packed full of refugees from the fires. He just called to say that now their hotel is being evacuated and the road he usually uses to get out of dodge is closed, so he's kind of at a loss of where to go/what to do. And nobody is being very helpful.
He's going to try and get downtown to the office and see if someone there will take him in. I told him he needs to come home. This is ridiculous. He can telecommute. :(
Am also worried about San Diego friend Stephanie, who turns 26 today. If you see this, Steph, I hope you're having a Happy Birthday far away from the fires. *hugs*
