debsLucy Wainwright Roche is the daughter of Loudon Wainwright III & Suzzy Roche, half sister to Rufus and Martha Wainwright. I first encountered Lucy when she was performing with her aunts and Suzzy in the band The Roches. Her sweet, clear voice struck me on tracks like "Long Before", and I was thrilled when I saw that she had released two solo eps last year. If you like Rosie Thomas or Kate Rusby, you'll probably like Lucy. Sweet really is the best word to describe her voice, and these songs in particular tug my heartstrings, or (as in the case of Superman's Song) strike my funny bone. :)
